Safari Transport

Transport can vary a lot from place to place and from country to country and can range from 4x4 jeeps, mini- vans, trucks, SUV’s, boats and small planes

But rest assured transport during your safari will be specially selected to best meet your budget, your particular activities and suitability for the terrain

Transport also has to meet the requirements of your destination (Kruger Park for instance require safari vehicles to have a roof).
For road transfers (in most cases), air-conditioned vehicles and/or mini-vans are used to/ from airports and for long road trips to/ from safari lodges and National Parks

In Botswana/Zambia/Namibia some transfers are by light aircraft due the remoteness of the safari camps

Most safari lodges and Bush camps use standard 10-seater, 4x4 Land Rover, Jeeps or Toyota Land Cruisers on the twice daily game drives into the bush. In areas where there are water activities “game drives” are by canoe or motorized boat

In Kruger Park (South Africa) and Etosha National Park (Namibia) it is possible to safari in a normal sedan car, SUV or Van because of the good condition of the roads

Budget Overland camping trips are done in large specially adapted trucks
